IIHS opens Learning Centers to offer greater access to high quality international nursing education - In SriLanka as well as in Maldives
As an innovative Sri Lankan education institute, International Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS), with 16 years of experience in the industry, has opened four Learning Centers in key regions of Sri Lanka to offer greater access to much-needed nursing education locally, in partnership with Open University Malaysia (OUM). Recognizing the need to provide affordable, accessible education for all nurses, IIHS recently commissioned the Uva Province Learning Center in Badulla, Central Province Learning Center in Kandy, Southern Province Learning Center in Galle and North Central Province Learning Center in Anuradhapura.
Programs in OUM are well accepted among all Commonwealth countries, providing greater employment opportunities to graduates and also the Bachelor in Nursing Sciences degree is recognized locally by the University Grants Commission (UGC). IIHS delivers these programs through the Commonwealth Award-winning Learner Management System, which enhanced the deployment of education in Sri Lanka. Through this platform, students have access to get information digitally which also includes essential international e-libraries.
Not only expanding locally, IIHS has stepped outside the borders of Sri Lanka by partnering with MIANZ International (MI) College in Maldives to deliver the ‘Foundation in Biological Science’ program to students in Maldives. Maldivians who wish to pursue a career in the Health care industry can build their foundation to the Advanced Diploma Programs offered by IIHS and other international universities by following the Foundation in Biological Science at MI College. This foundation program opens doors for Maldivian students who wish to pursue a career as a Nurse, Bio Medical Scientist or a Physiotherapist. https://micollege.edu.mv/index.php/Home/Affliations
