Current status:

Studying at Deakin University Australia in 2016 for the final of BSc Nursing programme.

Graduated from IIHS in November 2015 and worked as a junior staff nurse at The Central Hospital for a short period of time.

Their experience at IIHS:

Friendly learning environment and it was always easy to approach the lecturers for both academic and non-academic support every time we wanted and there is nothing to be afraid to ask for help.

The Academic staff had always been extremely compassionate and motivated us to move forward in every possible ways  and in every aspect of life as well as in clinical and academic field, especially in the field of research within the Sri-Lankan context and also in the International context.

I really enjoyed participating in all the events conducted by IIHS during my study period because of it helped me to develop my professional knowledge which I believe to be important for my future career.

IIHS consists of a culturally diverse community, where there is a strong friendship between the staff and the students. Even the non-academic staff at IIHS is a very cozy and supportive therefore, it felt like a family to me and most of the time I don’t feel like going home.

I mostly enjoyed being a member of the student council as it helped me to further improve my leadership skills and qualities and be an active participant in extracurricular activities. However, it was both exciting and yet tough to balance all these activities with the studies, but with the unending support of all the healthcare professionals at IIHS I have been able to reach my goals and dreams of becoming a world class health professional.

Advantages of IIHS learning:

Helped me to save nearly LKR 6 million but most of all, I am glad that I was able to continue
